The calibrator VC13 is a calibration exciter suitable for testing and calibration of sensors and instruments in units of acceleration, velocity and displacement. Due to the internal reference accelerometer and level control circuit the vibration level is independent of the attached load. The nominal level is indicated acoustically and by an LED. The built-in accumulator can be recharged by an external mains adapter.
The calibrator is delivered with calibration certificate traceable to a standard of PTB.
VC13 provides an increased load of 520 gr. (1.15 lb) and an input for external signals to drive the vibration system. It can be used as a force source for structural analysis and other purposes. The VC13 features an input connector for an external generator signal. While the internal control circuit is switched off the VC13 can be used as a force source. It generates alternating forces up to 5 N for structural analysis, mechanical component testing and other purposes.
